For over 16 years, Dave’s House has been dedicated to its mission of ending homelessness for adults with serious mental illness—providing permanent housing, mental health support, and a path to stability. With our current residences in Orange County, we’ve seen firsthand the power of safe, supportive housing to transform lives. Now, we’re expanding that impact with the creation of our first multi-unit Residential Community in Central Florida. Our annual fundraising event “Dave’s House Party” fuels this mission.

Dave’s House Party — Mission Possible

What an incredible evening! Our annual Dave’s House Party brought together friends, sponsors, and supporters for a night filled with joy, purpose, and unforgettable moments - beautifully emceed by Christina Watkins, WESH2 News Anchor and longtime support of Dave’s House mission. Honoring Leadership: Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings received the 2025 Dr. Joel C. Hunter Legacy Award for his steadfast leadership in expanding mental health resources and championing affordable housing. Celebrating Talent: Through a collaboration with local  nonprofit Chance 2Dance, residents of Dave’s House offered a moving performance that had the whole room on its feet.

Mission In Action - A heartfelt thank you to our pillar sponsors Morgan & Morgan and AdventHealth, along with so many others whose generosity made the evening possible. Keeping our mission at the heart of the celebration, we welcomed many Dave’s House residents to join us at the event — a powerful reminder of why we do this work. We are deeply grateful to our valued healthcare service partner, Aspire Health, for their ongoing collaboration and support. Heroes Auction - A heartfelt thank you to our incredible partners at the City of Orlando Fire Department, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, and Orange County Corrections. They generously donated exclusive “behind-the-scenes” and “Hero for a Day” experiences — one-of-a-kind opportunities that were auctioned off to raise critical support for Dave’s House.

One of the biggest moments of this year’s Dave’s House Party was the announcement of our new development and construction partners for Dave’s House at Celery Community. This is a really big deal — a milestone that takes our first multi-unit residential community from vision to reality. Through this partnership with Community Assisted & Supported Living (CASL) and HomeAid Orlando, we’re building a first-of-its-kind supportive housing campus in Seminole County. Featuring 16 duplex homes, a 3,500 sq. ft. community center, and wraparound services, this community will more than double our housing capacity and set a replicable model for supportive housing across Florida. View Press Release. Together, we are building more than homes—we are building futures filled with dignity, purpose, and hope. Thank you for standing with Dave’s House as we expand our impact and create a brighter tomorrow for adults living with serious mental illness.
